Japanese Damascus Knife Advice About Knife Sharpening?

Advice about knife sharpening? - japanese damascus knife

I have two beautiful Japanese kitchen knives made of Damascus. I had three or four years. They held an edge very well, but I realize that not as sharp as they were. I have no player with a knife sharpener, so I prefer a specialist. However, they can be refined by anyone?

They were a gift, and I do not know where they were purchased, they can not go to the store. I do not want to risk ruining the knives! Can anyone help? Thank you.

Sharpening knives is not something you quickly connect up. Look in the phone book from a professional or you can ask the butcher at your local supermarket or butchers. You know a good knife sharpener. Someone who is of his living with the knife to know who is the best. A pharmacist will tell you how long between the sharp knives.

Look in the Yellow Pages. There are professionals to come home, sharpen their knives. I know someone who lives less than a mile from my house.

Yes, they could be refined by anyone, but we need to know what they were doing. I recommend anyone to give you a professional or for those before you learn it yourself.

Place a small pyramid, improve, leave them there for a while. This has been tested and demonstrated by the way ...

Take them to a specialist. And I wonder how to take care of them when they are stricter.
